Short Bio: Son to a common born father, and a noble mother. Arkon'driel's mother was caste out of her family by her father for choosing to marry the common born blacksmith. It was a decision she never regretted. A sickly son was born to them, a frail young boy with deep red hair. As time passed the boy grew stronger, filling out and growing taller, developing a deep love of the outdoors.

It was this love that pushed him towards the Farstriders, where his natural skills allowed him to rise quickly through the ranks, and into Moon company, a classified division of Rangers. The results of Arthas' march to the sunwell left him alone, and drifting from conflict to conflict.

Physical description: Tall and muscular, but with a lithe and grace not expected of someone his size. His body is a road map of scars, and he wears a patch over his right eye, lost in battle long ago. He wears his deep crimson hair swept back over his shoulders, and generally prefers his battle armor to lighter clothes.

Personality: A former member of a classified division of Farstriders, Arkon'driel is a battle hardened veteran at such a young age. Generally a quiet man, he's capable of extreme violence when pushed, but lately prefers to avoid confrontation. He can be friendly, and extremely loyal to those that have earned it. A deeply buried sense of humour seems to be emerging once again.

Charecter History: Born and raised in Goldenmist village, Arkon'driel Van'nan became friends with a noble girl named Dania Sunwhisper. As they grew, friendship turned into something more and the two began a secret love. They had planned to flee Quel'thalas together, and live a quiet life free from interference. But in the days leading to Arthas' march on the Sunwell, they chose to stay and defend their home and loved ones.

During the battle in what's now know as the Blackened woods, Dania fell in battle. The loss devastated the young ranger, and her death coupled with the loss of his parents drove him into a self-imposed exile. During his time away he honed his skills as a survivalist and a marksman, living off the land. Years later he would fall in with the Blacktooth Grin after a minor skirmish over territory he had carved out for himself. The druid Faquarl took the elf under his wing, making the ranger a key member of his squadron. Arkon'driel in turn excelled in battle, gaining new tactics and new skills after each conflict he took part in.

Eventually the Grin turned their eyes on the lands of Khaz Modan, and ultimately Ironforge. However, they were betrayed during the course of the battle, and Arkonn and a few other barely escaped the kingdom with their lives. The Warchief, Gorfrunch, had gone missing in the battle and was presumed dead. As the world he had come to know fell apart, the ranger traveled to Silvermoon to recuperate.

It was there that his involvement with the Rellen'thas began. Initially brought into the coalition as a retainer to House Andilien, Arkonn eventually found himself guarding the red head's of Nerel'thos. Among them was his future wife, Fiora.

Shortly before their marriage, Faquarl came to Silvermoon looking for Arkonn. This would be the beginning of what became known as the Fall of Legends. A campaign that would see the marriage of Fiora and Arkonn, the Grin betrayed and their allies betrayed by the Warchief, and the death of Faquarl. After discovering he was going to be a father, Arkon'driel faced down his friend and mentor in a battle that would change both their lives. The ranger lost his eye to the Warchief, but managed to kill the orc regardless. With the loss of their Warchief, the Grin ended their war.

Arkonn and Fiora kept a low profile after that, preparing their home and their lives for the new addition to their family. But it wasn't to be. Arkonn was in Orgimmar the day the Scourge launched a surprise attack on the Horde and Alliance forces. Fiora attempted to bring her husband to safety but was grievously injured in the process, and lost the baby.

Plagued by grief and anger, husband and wife drifted further and further apart until Fiora finally disapeared. Weeks a later, an elven unit who had been fighting in Icecrown returned Fiora's body to Nerel'thos manor. Arkonn departed shortly after, blazing a trail of vengeance and destruction across the frozen wastes. It was nearly a year and a half after he'd left that Tharani Alindorel, fiance to Lord Valinmar Rellen'thas literally fell into his life.

Over the course of one frigid night, the Ranger fought to keep the magistrix safe until help arrived in the form of Lord Suncrown himself. He accompanyied to couple back to Silvermoon where he was given a room in the manor. As time passed, he began to finally come to grips with everything that had happened, and began to find an acceptance inside.

Shortly after he was offered a position in the noble guard, the Rellen'dal, which he hesitantly accepted. Arkon'driel was assigned to protect Lady Regent Agho'linn Andilien, in a way bringing his journey full circle.
