Short Bio:

A seamtress and dressmaker with a keen eye for ladies’ fashion, Kevlyn SilkenDawn is known as much for her quick wit as she is for her dress designs. Kevlyn’s stitch-work is fine and sturdy, and her use of color and embellishment is considered daring yet tasteful. Noted for her ability to turn a tiresome affair, such as dress fittings, into a joyful experience, with conversation, this young seamstress appears to be on a quiet rise to success in Silvermoon’s Bazaar.

Physical description:

With her blue-black hair perpetually pulled up and twisted into a tidy bun, no one seems to know exactly how long Kevlyn’s hair is when unbound. Her tanned skin speaks of many days in the sun, perhaps attesting to her time spent perfecting the dyes that create her original colors. Kevlyn’s figure is graceful and lithe, though rounded maturely in the appropriate places. Every movement of her speaks to an attention to detail, and the swish of her skirts has almost a musical quality to it.

In a curious counterpoint to her overall tidy appearance, Kevlyn sports a rather involved tattoo. It begins on the back of her left hand as a bloom, and curls around her left arm in intricate weave of vine and floral designs. The pattern continues across her chest and down her torso to her right leg, where it curls down in a spiral and ends at her right foot in a bloom much like the one at the start. The entire piece of work seems to have been designed to peek out coyly from Kevlyn's attire, or perhaps Kevlyn has designed her attire to accent the tattoo?

Personality:

Quiet, passive and on the verge of timid, it seems that Kevlyn’s one and only purpose for living is ensuring that her work is of the finest quality, and that every last one of her customers are pleased with their purchases. She can pull idle conversation, or meaningful ones, out of thin air and seems to have advice for almost any situation, particularly regarding men.

Character history:

Very little is known about this shy, young woman before she came to Silvermoon. According to the clerk’s office, she merely swept in one day during the Lunar Festival and requested the name and location of the owner to the deed of a small, corner shop in the Bazaar. The information passed to her, she disappeared and returned in hours requesting that the deed to the building be transferred to her name, Kevlyn SilkenDawn.

Her sewing things were immediately portered into the shop, and it took her a mere two days to arrange her things. Mannequins were set in the picture windows at the front, modeling daring gowns, and with a sweetheart’s holiday around the corner, Kevlyn quickly found herself with a steady stream of business on hand. Her eye for color, design, cut, and embellishment never disappointed.

It has been said that she came from Fairbreeze, while others claim Falconwing Square. Gossips fond of scandal whisper that she might have been a dismissed seamstress from a noblewoman’s staff. But, really, no one knows for sure. If asked, Kevlyn always diverts the conversation artfully enough that no one remembers how it began.

Relationships with other characters:

As passive as she is, it is difficult to find a bad word that Kevlyn has to say about anyone, but her constantly observant eyes must see *some* thing to her distaste around her.

Opinion of various horde races:

As far as can be assumed, Kevlyn has not spent any significant amount of time outside the walls of Silvermoon. She speaks broken Orcish and while she does not appear to fear or loathe Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, or Forsaken, she does not show a complete comfort with them, either.
