It's been a busy few weeks for us, but today we have a new update going live adding new features and enhancements =)

This update includes more performance enhancements, new features for groups, user timezones, enhancements to voice blocks and more. For full details head over to our blog:

I know alot of you won't check the actual link to read so here is the big recap of that.

Check the changes to the Groups page, they each have their own "wall" now, or individual shoutboxes really.

Ventrillo and RSS feeds have been improved from 20 minutes to 5 minutes meaning the sidebox status if more reliable now in knowing who is actually online.

those are the two biggies for us

Also:

By going into your account settings (click your name, click the paper icon, click account)

you can set your time zone.

which will auto change all event times on the site to YOUR TIMEZONE!
Awesome... so even though the raid is set for 5:15 PST it shows up for me now as 8:15 EST

Highly recomend setting this, and will be sending a mass mail about the function soon.

This weekend we are making several changes to how accounts work with MMO Guildsites. The update includes changes for how password resets & unlocks work, inviting members and a few additional items.

to invite someone, those with privlages click on the members tab and it is a link at the top of the page where you can put in their email address and username. Since we still require applications, I only see this being used for people returning after having left the guild.

Since the accounts update going live last weekend we've received some great feedback from you guys, and based on that we have made a few changes to how the new accounts work with your guild site.

The short and sweet is site admins may again modify users login info if the user only belongs to their guild, and that the remember me feature should now be working again, but for the full details head over to our blog:

Thank God. I thought someone was getting on my computer and fucking around on the site.

I 18th this hurrah. I sign onto the website in at least 3 different locations, and while I always sign out at work, my phone and my 2 home computers are only used by me, so I leave them signed in.

This weekend we are launching Trakkee, a contact manager and note taking web application designed for gamers, which aims to be your all-around personal assistant for everything related to your gaming life.

We are also announcing some future plans for MMO Guildsites, which includes details for our theming and dkp revamps.

yeay for supporting newer style sheets and seperate templates for mobile view! i'll have to check into the tekkie thing to see if its buzz worthy or not.

Trakkie is awesome in a handbasket. There are some options that aren't implemented yet (like actually accepting friend requests), and some things I wish they'd clean up a little. I'm doing a test run on Vlana, at the moment and couldn't be more pleased for how it allows me to collect all the internet data I have for her in one little area.

I'm testing it on Valinmar, as well.

So far, so good.

I wonder if there is an app for that. >_>

I'm hoping that it will be streamlined into the MMO guildsites, as an additional tab on the character screen.

Trakkee is not compatible with Internet Explorer... which means I can't use it while I'm at work. T_T

This weekend we have our first preview of the upcoming revamp to MMO Guildsites. This revamp focuses on rewriting our site for HTML 5 and CSS 3 and includes major changes to the layout and design, along with many new features. Because of the scope of this update, it will take us a little longer to complete, so while we work on it we will be doing a series of previews here to get feedback on the proposed changes and new features.

Next up we have a revamp of our What's New feature, which is being renamed to Activity Feed. Our goal with the Activity Feed is to have a page that pulls all of the content posted on your site into one place and allows you to easily view and interact with it.

A quick overview of the Activity Feed's features:

•shows content posted by members from all sections, including polls, images, videos, journals, etc.
•allows you to interact with content directly from the feed; for example a poll showing up in the feed will allow you to vote and comment on it right there, no need to jump to the polls section
•makes use of the new web sockets in HTML 5 to automatically pull new content in as it is added. By sitting on the feed page you'll see new content stream in without having to refresh the page, the instant its added.

We expect the Activity Feed to see a great deal of use when it goes live, so we want to make it interesting to view and fun to use. One of our main reasons for adding this feature is, due to the amount of sections existing in a guild site, it can be difficult for members to know what new content there is. The Activity Feed will greatly simplify this, and make content easier to view and discuss.
